The Burmese Army carried out an airstrike in the Chin State village of Khuafo, Thantlang township on March 30, resulted in the deaths of eight people, including two children.
Five women and three men, including two boys aged six and eight, were killed. Twenty civilians were also injured as a result of the airstrike, according to the Interim Chin National Consultative Council.
The military council has repeatedly shown that it will not hesitate to terrify innocent civilians, including people of other ethnic groups.
The Interim Chin National Consultative Council issued a statement strongly denouncing these acts of violence. It also exhorted every Chin national to oppose and overthrow the terrorist military council.
