104 healthcare personnel killed after the 2021 military coup

The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Health claimed that a total of 104 healthcare personnel have been killed after the military coup in Burma in 2021.

 

The NUG also condemned the airstrike on the Vawmm'Tu hospital in Mindat Township in Chin State on April 25.

 

Five patients and a civilian were killed during the airstrike and several other patients, their family members, and healthcare personnel were injured.

 

The NUG said Vawmm'Tu hospital also serves people from Sagaing and Magway regions as well as Chin state.

 

A total of 104 healthcare personnel were killed, 131 others were injured, and 343 hospitals and clinics were destroyed since the military coup on February 1, 2021, the NUG said.

 

There were a total of 1,293 attacks that occurred in the healthcare sector since the power grab.
